In solidarity with the Native Women's Association of Canada

Montreal - February 14, 2011 , a hundred people including members of CATHII marched to show their support for the survival of the Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC) and their campaign Sisters in Spirit (SIS) which, since its inception in 2004, worked to raise awareness and to compile data on violence against women and girls, indigenous to Canada. Violence against women is unacceptable. It affects every day thousands of communities in Quebec, Canada and around the world. Since 1980, more than 583 aboriginal women have disappeared or been murdered Canada.
